今回はガラス工芸を作り、各地のアートショーで展示販売するレニーがアメリカ車の旅について語ります。
I was checking the length of Japan.
日本の長さの距離をチェックしてたんだ。

大体千八百マイルぐらいだと思う。
Really? So it’s nothing [inaudible]

It’s about the distance between here and Missoula.
大体ここから（オースティン）からミズーラ（モンタナ州）までの距離と同じだ。
So, how many miles do you drive?… a year?
一年に何マイル運転する？
Anywhere from about, ah, thirty to forty、forty five thousand miles.
年によってだけれど、大体、三万マイルから、四万、四万五千マイルまでの間かな。
That’s a lot (of driving). The usual milage, average of people is about fifteen thousand miles.
結構運転するね。通常の走行距離、人の平均は約一万五千マイルだから。
Do you like being on the road?
車の旅は好き？
Yes, the solitude is nice.
好き。一人になれるのはいいね。
Solitude, it that what you crave for?
孤独ね、それを求めるワケ？
Well, I listen to the radio. And, ah, but it is time to reflect and think and…just see the scenery, the country.
まあ、ラジオ聞くけれどね。でも、ゆっくり考える時間でもある…そしてたんに景色を見る、地域を見る。
